I'm looking for a Volunteering Crew Position!
Hey, I had my first sailing experience last year, 2024, which was 5 weeks in the Mediterranian Sea (Malta, Sicily, Greece - ~560 nm)
My original plan now was to find a boat for the atlantic crossing, but since it didn't really work out, I changed my plans.
Now I live close to Valle Gran Rey in La Gomera until mid-april. So I'm down for some shorter sailing trips (1-4 days) around the island...
After I'll finish my work there, I'd love to experience the full sailing lifestyle again for 1-2 months either around the canaries/Madeira, west africa or again in the mediterranean.
My first sailing experience last year was very nice!!
I was able to learn a lot about sailing, now it would just take me a day to resfresh my knowledge, but shouldn't be a problem. Apart from that I love cook some amazing food, help with cleaning and I sing and play Ukulele.
Basically I love to help wherever it's needed, enjoy and experience the life on the boat together! :)

Great crewmate
Sophie came aboard having never sailed before and was immediately comfortable with boat life. She picked up the basics well and rapidly become a useful and valuable crew member. We had several overnight sails and a multi day passage. Sophie is a great cook and is even happy cooking underway. We had some great conversations and when she wasn't kicking my ass at backgammon she entertained me singing and playing her ukulele. An asset to any crew and welcome back any time.
