Looking for a Paid-work , Voluntary work or Delivery Crew or Chef-Deckhand position
Hi!
I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Voluntary work, Delivery Crew or Chef. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and learn to sail.
About my availability ....
All years I'm available from November 1st to April 15th. The rest of the months I work.
I think it' s important to live and sail together for a few time before making ocean crossings.
I 'm open to meeting nice skippers with whom there is a good connection and we can do longer sailings in the future
About my live...
I normally live, work and practice sports in the high mountains (Spanish Pyrenees)
I work in a high mountain's National Park 7 months a year, the rest of the months I travel around the world.
I have a good friend who is a professional recreational skipper who has a 12 meter aluminum monohull sailboat and I have sailed the last two winters with him.
Last winter we crossed the Atlantic and sailed through Caribbean and the previous winter we sailed from Barcelona through the Canary Islands and Madeira.
And after sailing those wonderful 8 months of adventure I fell in love with sailing and the sea and I want more!!
The last year I completed the coastal skipper course (PER) and the basic maritime safety training
(STCW) so I have the sailor's passport.
About me...
- I have worked in many different things so I' m very versatile and i know how to work hard.
- Rarely seasick, maybe the two first days.
- I' m nice, responsible, friendly, non-conflictive and easy to get along with. And i'm short! ... perfect size for a boat ;)
- I like to cook and help with boat maintenance...I love DIY and i'm good for that! I have experience with wood repair, changing engine parts, sewing sails, waterproofing hatch, complete treatments of the hull...etc
- I don't speak perfect English (I study B1 now) but that has never prevented me from communicating well and having beautiful friendships with English-speaking people.
- Coastal skipper course (PER) and the basic maritime safety training (STCW) so I have the sailor's passport.
- I'm vegetarian but it's not complicated
About my sailing experience...
Two winters ago we sailed from Barcelona to the Canary Islands and Madeira round trip. Last winter we crossed the Atlantic and sailed through the Caribbean. The two sailing trips with my friend, owner and skipper of a 12 meter aluminum sailboat.
I have always cooked and cleaned on the boat, in addition to helping with maneuvers, piloting the dinghy and help with all maintenance, make effective guards, dive....etc
If you have any questions klaupf@proton.me do not hesitate to write to me
Claudia
Cheers!
PD : I'm not looking to be a pretty decoration in a bikini like a charter boats and i don´t looking for a partner or something like that. I'm looking to learn to sail, travel, live adventures, meet nice people, learn languages and cultures...
