Looking for a Competent Crew position
I'm seeking blue water adventure.
I'm Peter, 32 y/o, and I'm pretty passionate about the ocean. I surf, windsurf, spearfish, kayak, etc... I've sailed varsity at uni and in 2018 ventured around eastern Australia in a 31 foot Dufour I bought, fixed up, and enjoyed for a period of time.
I'm looking for any opportunities in the Pacific. Ideally originating in the Polynesian triangle and perhaps cruising just around Polynesia.
I am looking to be part of an explorative cruise as opposed to a race from A to B,
I'm really good with navigation, especially as my career focus in on satellite imagery. I've been living in Hawaii for the last couple of years and since then have fallen in love with all of Polynesia.
I speak English and French and am also pretty good at Portuguese and German, Spanish I can understand.
Please let me know if I sound like a fit.
My overall goal here is to build miles and experience crewing in open waters as I plan to get another boat of my own hopefully in the near future. I don't feel experienced enough at the moment to make big ocean crossings as captain at the moment.
