Looking for Captain/skipper position

My partner and I, are looking for sailing opportunities for the coming years, starting summer 2025. Here is some information about us.

I, have been sailing on many sailing vessels in the past fifteen years as crew then skipper during deliveries, races and charter sailing. I crossed the Atlantic twice. Once as a skipper in February 24. Once as navigator in 2017 during a race on-board a 72 footer.

I have a Yachtmaster Offshore (sail) Certificate and a french powerboat license for small motor boats.

We just ended a 6 months contract on a Lagoon 51 (privately run) for the season in the Med. In April, we spent 10 days preparing the boat in Canet-en-Roussillon (global check of all the boat systems and interior and exterior finishings). Then we sailed from France to Sardinia and Corsica then Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia and Italy. The owners and their family and friends (up to 8 people on-board) were on-board 50% of the time. The rest of the time was dedicated to deliveries and maintenance.

My previous experience took place in Greece where I was skipper of an Oceanis 55 for 2 weeks departing from Kos with 6 clients on board and Madeline was cook/stew/deck. Before that I worked on a motor vessel of the NGO Sea Shepherd Global who hired him for 3.5 months as a second officer on the M/V Sea Eagle, a 35m long vessel with 20 crew onboard. As an OOW I was in charge of watchkeeping, crew management and boat manoeuvring (undocking, docking, anchoring, day and night watch). I was also helping the first officer to ensure a high level of safety onboard (trainings, drills and safety checks).

Before being a professional seaman I was a mechanical engineer and a naval architect from Southampton University. I worked for 10 years in maritime industries (motor boat shipyard, sailing yachts yard, offshore racing yacht yard) which gave me the opportunity not only to design and build, but also to maintain and sail a few yachts.

In parallel with this activities I sailed inshore and offshore races in France (Atlantic and Med), Ireland and UK. I sailed double handed as well as with a crew on different sizes of sailing yachts : imoca 60, Volvo Ocean Race 70, 72 and 60 footer

We are fluent in French and English and have an intermediate level of Spanish.
