Looking for a Deckhand, 2nd Officer, Competent Crew or Lead Deckhand position
After more than 10 years sailing in Europe and across the Atlantic as an offshore racer, and building yachts as a naval architect and mechanical engineer, I have decided to do a career change and become a professionnal seaman.
My last position was 2nd mate on a 110 feet M/V (20 crew) in the Mediterranean Sea in summer 2022. I had to take captains responsibilities for some short periods of time.
During my offshore racing career (2009-2021), I was mainly co-skipper during double-handed races. I also was navigator on a 70 feet (15 crew) racing boat for a transatlantic race in 2017. Otherwise I was competent crew (nav, bow, pit, helm) for RORC races.
I am an experienced and trustworthy sailor and a versatile crew member as I can sail/manoeuvre but also do basic mechanical maintenance of a boat.
As an engineer and naval architect I was a project manager for luxury and racing yachts design and construction in France.
As a seaman, I have followed the STCW training.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
