Looking for sailing in/around Netherlands and Europe
Hiya!
I'm just putting some feelers out there looking for a boat to sail on both short-term and long-term in and around The Netherlands.
I’m a 22yo girl from The Netherlands that moved to New Zealand in 2019 and has spent 3 years traveling there. Now, (with a little 6 month Asia-intermezzo) I've finally made it back in my home-town Amsterdam.
I grew up on a houseboat in the harbours of Amsterdam and have always been around water. I'd consider myself a real waterbaby! During my final time in NZ, I've sailed a handful (or bit more) of races, where I got the opportunity to refresh my knowledge on sailing and gain experience in the cockpit. It rekindled my love for the ocean and interest in sailing, which made me seek out more sailing experiences in Indonesia.
I've recently sailed from Indonesia (Lombok) to Malaysia (Pangkor). This journey consisted of both off-shore and on-shore cruising, with a multiple overnight sails. Which means I can do overnight watches.
I'm currently hoping to find any way of gaining more sailing experience and fueling my desire to get out on the water. Daytrips, local races, longer journeys in/around Europe: I'm open to all!
I learn fast and am really keen to keep sailing and gain new skills. I'm in good physical health and have a positive and energetic mindset. I don’t mind hard work at all and am happy to assist wherever needed. If that means cooking in the galley or helping out on deck. :))
I speak fluent Dutch and English and can hold conversations in German.
I also am a certified diver (PADI open water), have photography skills, practice yoga and enjoy anything creative.
