Experienced 100-ton USCG licenced Master with sailing endorsment, available for liveaboard, delivery and shore work.
I have a commercial Master 100ton license with a sailing endorsement from the USCG. Previously held IYT bareboat skipper and basic sailing instructor certification for five years. I completed my STCW95 in 2013 and am current on first aid/CPR. I have been a PADI instructor since 2010, and enjoy being underwater as much as on top of it. I've done lots of sailboat deliveries as both crew and skipper, and have a great deal of motorboat crew experience from dive and fishing boats; I also did competative dihgny racing in school and University. I have done most boat jobs – working on engines, electrical and plumbing, cleaning and polishing above and below deck, general maintenance, cooking and passage planning and, of course, the fun part – sailing and diving all over the world. I’ve also had many land based jobs with transferable skills, such as housekeeping, customer service and restaurant work. I have sailed over 40,000 nm. I'm available to go anywhere interesting. Willing to try (almost) anything once, a hard worker and fast learner. Currently working as a captain on a liveaboard dive boat out of Santa Barbara, CA for my second season (June-November) but I’m available for deliveries in the Winter and Spring. I Live and sail on my Pacific Seacraft 31' in Santa Barbara the rest of the time. Apologies to those looking for crew contributions, I will not be able to join you on your journey.
