We never did quite get to sail together

This review arises from the strange circumstances of COVID 19. Before the world went mad I had made a plan that Leon was going to sail with us for a season of cruising around the Mediterranean. We had many discussions, made plans and with just a few days to go before we were due to travel from our respective homes to the yacht in Cartagena, COVID lockdown began across Italy, Spain and then north into the remainder of Western Europe. The day before we were due to travel we made the decision to postpone. A day later lockdown began in earnest. If we had got to Cartagena - although even that was by no means certain - we would not have got out again for months, and it would not have been by yacht for many more months after that. So, although I have never had the privilege of sailing with Leon, I do feel I know him well. We have stayed in touch to see whether our plans could be resurrected but that has not been possible. Throughout my dealings with him, Leon has been open, honest, reliable and totally committed to our shared goals. He has strong values and yet an open mind and a pleasant demeanour, He strikes me a the perfect crew I never got the chance to meet. I hope he gets to meet a good skipper and ask whoever does provide him an opportunity to give him the adventure I was unable to provide. Andy
