Experienced Bluewater Sailor
Hello! My name is Patrik, I live in San Francisco, California where I learned to sail more than twenty years ago. I have since logged nearly 30K miles on sailing and motor vessels, both bluewater open ocean sailing and in the San Francisco Bay and California/Mexico coast.
I have crossed made five ocean crossings, both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, in addition to many long coastal passages over the years. I believe sailing is a calling, and while it is my preference to be aboard a sailing vessel, any position available on any vessel is fine with me. I'm just happiest when I'm on the water!
I have extensive experience (bluewater, open ocean, coastal, international, and San Francisco Bay), but am very low key, laid back, and fun to be around. Not "hard core" at all, and don't really enjoy racing (though I am capable), just enjoyable cruising with a feel for sail trim, efficiency, performance, and just enjoying being on the water with the wind in the sails or engines purring.
