Novice/Competent crew /positions welcome.
Hey sailors! Looking to join as a crew/companion ⛵️
Hi, I’m Margo — a London-based ex IT project manager turned nomad for the next few months. Currently on a career break in search of new experiences, and some salt in my hair :-). Born in Moscow, went to Uni in London.
I hold an RYA Day Skipper and Powerboat Level 2 licence, though it was a while ago and I had forgotten it all by now probably. I’ve spent about 1.5 months cruising the Med a few years ago, and it was the most incredible experience ever. I kept sailing occasionally after that - a few weeks sailing dinghies and keelboats around the windy lakes here in Britain.
I’m looking for a novice-level role where I can listen, learn, and grow — happy to take instructions, handle lines, drop anchor, stand watch, and be part of the quiet magic that is life at sea.
Character-wise, I’m reflective, and steady, with a soft spot for meaningful conversations . I thrive in calm, respectful spaces where everyone pulls together and mutual respect and kindness is second nature.
✅ Speak English & Russian
✅ Don’t get seasick (much!)
✅ Prefer relaxed sailing and enjoying with gentle pace - over racing
✅ Happy to travel to the boat
✅ Can share costs, cook (but something simple and basic), clean
❌ I don’t drink or smoke (but don’t mind if you do)
❌ I would prefer to avoid sharing a cabin as I am a tall person and a light sleeper
❌ Prefer to skip night watches if possible (due to some troubles with sleep) but will do if required :-)
Looking for a friendly, chilled crew and open to trips anywhere — especially the Caribbean, Asia or Mediterranean.
Let’s connect!
