Well networked in the industry and can rapidly assemble an effective team if needed. Have been described as dependable, charismatic, and fun to be around. Received recognition for staying calm in emergencies and foul weather. Open minded towards alternative lifestyles and diverse religious & political views. Have traveled in 21 countries, blended in well with the locals, and honed skills to rapidly adapt to customs and local regulations.

Although I greatly enjoy doing the touristy things in touristy ports, off-grid adventures are truly what feed my soul. Love exploring historical ruins and diving on remote reefs. On land, favorites are gardening, off-road camping, campfires, foraging for food, rock climbing, and anything that has to do with photography.

Having spent a lifetime on & under water since childhood, I consider the sea to be my home. Earned my 50T license in 1993, with an upgrade to 100T Master in 2021.

A cruiser at heart but also quite competitive as evidenced by a boxful of medals from swimming. Would enjoy going for the trophies of long haul sailing races. Greatly enjoyed crewing on races in Whitsundays of Australia, around historic ports of Turkey, and the notorious gusts of Hood River on the Columbia River of Oregon. Vic-Maui and rounding Cape Horn are bucket list items.
