Sailing opportunities sought in UK, Northern Europe and the Med, excluding delivery trips.
I'm 68 and retired (so available for long trips aswell as midweek). I keep myself fit by playing tennis 3 times a week all year round, and enjoy swimming and cycling too. I'm a non-smoker.
I got into sailing in my mid-50s and have crewed quite a bit since then. I've done some fairly long trips (which have clocked up the miles), including along the south coast of England, across to France and the Channel Islands, across to Ostende and on to Holland, and in the Mediterranean. I've also sailed in the Ionian and the Aegean, along much of the coasts of Italy, Sardinia, France, Spain and southern Portugal, and crossed the Bay of Biscay. Only ever as crew though, not as skipper.
I live in Maidstone, Kent, so getting down to the Solent isn't a problem; and Essex, Suffolk and Sussex are easy for me to get to aswell. I'm also within reach of 3 major airports, and am happy to join skippers whom I've previously met in the UK.
Lastly, whilst I'm happy to sleep in the saloon, I'm afraid that I'm not prepared to share a cabin.
