Novice Crew or Voluntary work position summer 2025
Looking to join a crew this summer! Extensive recreational experience on the water (can drive/handle a powerboat) but limited sailing experience (know the basics from youth sailing, that's about it). Eager to work, learn, meet new people, and help out.
About me: 27 y/o male, living in Austin, TX. Work a typical 9-5 job but quitting in May to take some time off before going to grad school in the fall. Occasional drinker, non-smoker, good with kids for any families taking extended trips (I've coached youth baseball for years). No preference on gender, LGBTQ-friendly, I get along with just about anybody. Biggest thing for me is experience - I'd love to learn from people with a a lot of sailing experience, as I'd like to eventually be able to do something similar with my fiancee when we're older.
