Transitioning to Life at Sea: Exploring the South Pacific and Polynesian Islands
Since March 2025 I’ve been sailing and gained all my experience during a Pacific crossing, which I started in Panama. My very first big passage was from Panama to the Marquesas, and over the following seven to eight months I sailed across the entire Pacific.
I am now First Mate and also teach new crew members how to sail. I have solid experience with night watches, sail changes, line handling, and steering. I also enjoy cooking on board, even in challenging conditions – and I never get seasick.
At the moment I am in New Caledonia and will soon sail to Australia, where I am looking to join a boat heading down to New Zealand.
I’m an open-minded, positive, and optimistic person who brings good energy to life on board and to working together as a crew.
