Looking for a Chef position
Hi, I’m Ikchelly Nuryam — a freelance chef with a lifelong passion for cooking and a solid background in hospitality, primarily shaped in the Caribbean.
I began cooking at the age of six and opened my own restaurant in 2013. Though I closed it in 2015 to care for my mother, the experience deepened my love for the culinary world. Since then, I’ve worked as a restaurant manager, high-end server, and most recently, as a chef onboard — a role I find incredibly fulfilling.
This past winter, I worked as the crew chef on a 50m yacht based in Genoa, preparing daily meals for an international team and gaining hands-on experience with provisioning, storage management, and adapting menus to dietary needs and preferences. I’ve also worked as a temporary chef in Dubai, and explored French cuisine while learning the language in the Mediterranean.
I’m now seeking my next opportunity for the upcoming summer season, where I can bring my creativity, professionalism, and deep love for cooking to a dynamic and positive team.
