Looking for a Novice Crew or Friendship position
Hi! My name is Connor and I am trying to get some sailing experience, and also be a part of the boating community in the UK. My on water experience is a bit eclectic. I was a rower through college in the states, and growing up in Seattle my family always had boats so I'm more than competent on motor boats. I did sail on occasion, but it was never a regular part of my life and realistically I am starting from square one. I do learn fast though! Off the water I am a lawyer located in west London, I am a keen cyclist, mountaineer, and visual artist.
A friend and I are engaged in an experiment. We have both worked in entertainment to varying degrees and have set a goal that within 2 years time we will buy a boat and do a large crossing of some sort (tbd depending on what skills we accrue and boat we find) and produce a set of videos and a podcast documenting the experience. There is a lot more to this and I'm happy to chat about it! My ambitions go beyond this one project but I thought it would be helpful to share the initial motivation for seeking a boat!
