Looking for a 3rd Engineer, Deckhand, Marine mechanic or 2nd Engineer position
I'm interested in finding a position as a 3rd Engineer, Deckhand, Marine mechanic or 2nd Engineer. Currently on Asteria (Polar exploration yacht) as the Junior engineer (also helping out on deck) conducting EOOW until the end of the contract in New York (22nd October).
I am 24 years old with a degree in Mechanical engineering and looking to progress and gain experience towards my SV second engineers ticket. I have my AEC1,2, STCW, ENG1 and B1/B2 Visa. I am a Green Tradesman and Graduate looking for my Second engineer position to learn and work towards my first CoC . I have worked as an Ambulance CA, Carpenter, Formworker, pharmaceutical Technician, Bike mechanic and Reservist soldier; all these I believe give me good lifeskills and the ability to work and adapt to high pressure positions. I used to own a Merlin rocket and laser having raced at Dartmouth regatta and Salcombe (my home town) but have little experience with big boats. I am enthusiastic about this new career and look forward to hearing from you!
