Learning How to Sail!

I have always loved boats, and I usually celebrate big events by taking family and friends out on a boat (birthdays, going away parties, etc). I’m traveling for the next year and a half, so I wanted to spend some time learning how to sail. My dream is to circumnavigate the globe solo someday, but I have no experience whatsoever. I would be very grateful to anyone who can show me the ropes (literally) and help me achieve my dream!
