BAHAMAS

Malaika has been home for 10 years. She is a beautiful Island Packet 38 which I purchased in Connecticut in 2011 and sailed straight to the Caribbean. After 6+ years there, I sailed through the Panama canal and up to the northern Sea of Cortez over the last 3 years. I crossed the canal back to the Caribbean 6/21, spent the hurricane season in Panama and Colombia. Sailed to the Bahamas 1/22 and will sail here through 6/22.
Malaika is a very well kept and competent, blue-water cruiser. She has 2 private suites with private heads, full galley and modern safety and navigation equipment.
I am a 49 year old retired obstetrician/gynecologist who loves to sail, freedive, spearfish and kiteboard. Looking for someone active, motivated, willing to help out with simple boat chores, and most importantly, have fun!

I sailed from Columbia to Bahamas with Scott and his awesome dogs!! Scott is very calculated and safe and his boat is very sea worthy and nice inside. I got to sail a ton and learn a lot. I highly recommend sailing with Scott he is a great guy and you will have an awesome time!!!!!Cheers?

Good times on Malaika

I really enjoyed my time with Scott on his boat Malaika, what a cool boat and crew! We sailed together for a long time and stopped in some amazing anchorages on the way to Panama. I learned plenty of new skills, discovered nice islands and free dove with him to do some pretty cool fishing sessions. The boat is comfortable and Scott has a lot of knowledges. Dogs are super nice and friendly! Give it a try!
