Now Sun and Trade wind , April start crossing Atlantic, direction Ireland

It is already the end of February.Most of my boatjobs are done. Yes most of them because boatwork is a never ending story. In April I start to prepare the boat for the big crossing of the Atlantic. Yes back to Europe but end destination Ireland . ETA in July. May make a stop in Bermuda and Azores.
Skipper and boat :
The skipper is sailing as long he can remember and is at home on the ocean with his boat – a compass 34 build in 1977 - for the last 32 years. The skipper is build in 1960 and has saltwater running trough his body. My profession was being a captain on Dutch cargo ships. ( I have a licence as master without any limits )
My boat – Mylady – is a good and strong boat and made her miles. I own her since 1991 and since then live aboard.
On board there is space for one female companion who has her own “ cabin “ forward.
A romance is not where I am after. Just a sailing companion.

  • Boat descriptionMy boat is a real sailing boat. Yes not a yacht she is a boat but one that is far the last 34 years good to my and together we sailed the seven seas in all those years and made more then 100.000 nautical miles. The boat sails perfect in any condition. I live aboard since I bought her in 1992. Never owned a house or car. All the normal instruments are on board and working oke. But there is no Iridium or starlink on board but an SSB with a pactor modem. The normal safety gear is on board. In the front is a guest cabin good for one person. There are no other cabins The skipper sleeps in the saloon. There is a good 2 burner propane stoof.
