Delivery Crew - Temporary / Seasonal - $DOE - U.S. Virgin Islands
Looking for a 3rd hand on catamaran delivery from the US Virgin Islands to Ft. Lauderdale, planned departure December 16th, weather allowing. MUST travel/board no later than the 14th. A US PASSPORT is mandatory. Some verifiable SAILING experience is required, and offshore experience strongly preferred. You must be comfortable standing a solo watch, and experience on night watch is a big plus. Position is best suited for someone newly credentialed, or an experienced amateur. Personality and demeanor are often more important than experience, so please no "high-intensity" thrill-seekers or rockstars. Need calm, collected, intelligent crew able to listen carefully and follow directions.
She’s a 47’ catamaran built in 2022, well-equipped for offshore passages with the appropriate safety equipment. All crew/work responsibilities shared. You will have a private bunk & head. We’ll run on a non-stop, rotating watch schedule. No smoking, vaping, or alcohol while underway. You can expect the trip to last between 7 to 9 calendar days, longer if there are weather delays. Boat pays for provisions. Pay depends on experience. Travel might be covered, depending on your location.
This is a professional delivery, so there are no planned stops for island-hopping, snorkeling, fishing, diving, surfing, etc… Please message and tell me about yourself, your background, experience, and confirm that you’re OK with possibly being on a boat for Christmas. Thank you.
