Pacific crossing (Chile to French Polynesia) and inter islands visits
After Antarctica and the Patagonian canals, the next trip is to cross the Pacific Ocean and stay for several months in the French Polynesia; on the way we will visit the Juan Fernandez Is; (Robinson Crusoe), the Easter I. and possibly Pitcairn (weather depending).
Arrival at the Gambiers Is. before the end of April.
Then we will start visits on the spot: Gambiers, Tuamotu Society Is. (including Tahiti), Tuamotu again and Marquises for a duration of 4,5 months.
At the present time (12 January) there remain 1 crew position available for the crossing, Departure from P Montt the 8th of March (from Valdivia the 13/3) and arrival at the Gambiers Is. around the 23/25 of April. Visit of R. Crusoé Island and Easter island.
For the inter islands cruising the time table is expected as follows:
- Gambiers 30/4 to Papeete (15/6) , 1,5 month , through the Tuamotu.
- Society Islands 3 weeks, Papeete (20/6) - Papeete (12/7).
- Papeete (14/08) to Marquises (30/09) via Tuamotu.
Please take into account that your trip to/from the boat may include inter-island flights.
