Tonga islands groups adventures then New-zealand
Discovering the different Tonga islands groups for the next 2 months !
don't need to be a sailor !
But being enthusiastic is a plus !
Plan to discover the different islands groups until November , then sail to New-zealand ( Northland ) .
I am more into walking ashore collecting coconut , kayaking , swimming , enjoying nature , having calm time for meditation and yoga , than parties in bars .
Tonga is really amazing ! with perfect conditions to sail ! there is wind everyday day making sailing interesting ! so no much motoring with the Yellow Ketch !
Plenty nice anchorages around the islands in clear water . Snorkeling , kayaking ... enjoying nature , this is a really peaceful place and a healthy life !
I personally don't eat meat , and I don't consume gluten . But I don't blame people eating meat .
The boat is in good order , very simple to use . Quite comfortable . But that doesn't mean everything will work for ever ! as always we sometimes have to do some maintenance , and even some repairs !
We don't have any Internet on board (I do have a phone with a local sim card with a bit of data to use for weather forecast ) .
NO starlink for ecological and ethic reasons .
We do sail as much as possible , ( I mean using the sails and wind ) , because it's fun ! free , and it makes more sense to me than using the engine .
Same with the dinghy , we most of the time row ashore ! the dinghy has also his proper sail .
Living this way is healthy , and keep you fit too !
There is a kayak on board , and we use a sailing dinghy ⛵ , respecting our Planet as much as we can ...
