We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team as a Stew/Deck/Guide/Cook.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, fast-paced professional who remains calm under pressure, has thick skin, is grounded and maintains a friendly demeanor in stressful situations. This multi-faceted role requires a team player who can manage a variety of tasks effectively while providing top-notch service to our guests. You will be the face of the company, and need to be able to handle high-end guests with a range of demands and sophisticated personalities. Ensuring top notch guest service is the top priority. You should be good at remembering names, details, and having educated worldly conversations.
Work Schedule: 18:00-24:00 (6 hours a day), Tuesday-Sunday (6 days a week), October - March (6 months).
Responsibilities
Cooking & Serving: Prepare and serve delicious local meals, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation, keep the coffee bar stocked & clean.
Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, toilets, interior of the yacht, and exterior deck (includes shoveling snow).
Laundry: Handle hot tub & interior blanket & pillow laundry efficiently.
Guest Management: Check-in and welcome guests onboard, provide safety information, manage the hot tub schedule & thermal suit rentals, and ensure their comfort throughout the tour.
Guiding: Lead tours, offering insights into the local environment, wildlife, history, and culture.
Docking Assistance: Help with docking the yacht.
Compliance: Follow and enforce company rules and safety protocols.
Hierarchy Respect: Take direction from the captain and owners, respecting the onboard hierarchy.
Content Creation: Respectfully capture photos and videos for marketing content during tours.
Weather Handling: Manage duties effectively in extreme weather conditions.
Seasickness Resistance: Ensure capability to perform duties without getting seasick.
Requirements
Basic seafarer certification
Crowd and crisis management certification
Non-smoker and does not drink alcohol
Trustworthy, loyal, and confident in abilities
Calm and professional under pressure
Ability to multi-task and handle various responsibilities
Team player with a positive attitude
Open to returning every winter season
