Hi I'm Magalina Masso aka Maggzz

I have always wanted to travel and just go live on a boat.

The closest I've been on a boat is the Sterling Casino for 2 hours and that really doesn't count because I was indoors the whole time.

I love to travel and I love to have a good time. (not sexual)

I have no sea miles on the water but I am a quick learner and would love the chance to show you I can learn and be a asset to your trip.

I do have 1 cat which she can stay in my room but she's my life so I can't just abandon her so I know when most look at this they are gonna be "ARE YOU CRAZY" ???

No skills and 1 cat well let me add this on to drop your mouth a little wider.

I have tattoos and I smoke weed.

I DO NOT DO DRUGS NOR DRINK (LIKE 2X A YR IF THAT)

I smoke weed for pain because I don't do drugs but there's a time and a place for everything and I know how to act like a lady and how to be totally laid back off the chain fun.

I know there's a time and place for everything.

So why should you choose me ???

Because I have no baggage but my cat who is clean and you will love her just like her fans. She has a YouTube and Facebook page and everyone loves her.

I want this bad and willing to learn any tasks that are asked of me within reason.

I will never leave you hanging and if shit goes down I will have "YOUR BACK'.

I am a hard worker and can't get enough of learning about the boats, water while traveling to places I only see on YouTube.

Talk to me for a few minutes and see.

What do you have to loose but a few minutes of your time.

Don't judge this book by it's cover because there is so much too it just got to read into it. :)

If you have a problem with my cat don't hit me up 'WE'RE A PACKAGE DEAL !!!!

She doesn't destroy anything and she's very clean and again she can stay in my cabin.

Can contribute some money so let's talk.

Hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Magalina Masso (YouTube It)

**********MY DREAM*****

As I wake up wiping my eyes to open them and start my day I'm still not sure if I am awake.
As I put on my robe and walk into what should be my house I walk into the surroundings of a boat.
I look out the window on my left then right again and again and think could this be real it can't be.

I walk with every step picture of the pace till I reach the top of the boat and look at the most beautiful picture that is spread before me.

I walk to the edge and look down and around surrounding by water and a tear drops down my face.

I suddenly hear a voice and turn around and see "YOU" holding my cat BABYGIRL (on her leash) and say "SO HOW DOES IT FEEL TO KNOW YOUR DREAM IS REALITY NOW".

I take my BABYGIRL into my arms and say loud enough that I know I'm no longer sleeping "WE'RE FINALLY IN THE HOME WE'RE SUPPOSE TO BE IN" and as I kiss her forehead she meows in agreement.

AND THEN YOU PUSH US OVERBOARD AND WE GET EATEN BY SHARKS AND RIPPED APART AND AS THE BLOOD SEEPS INTO THE OCEAN YOU HURRY AND GRAB YOUR FISHING POLOE AND CATCH A BADAZZ TROUT LOLOLOLOL

Ok well I hope the 2nd part won't happen that would totally suck but hey at least you get my sense of humor when I smoke weed.

Yes people I was in so much pain this am from nerve damage to my leg I smoked and decided to write this blog before I go work out.
See not all potheads are lazy and act like this is your brain this is your brain on drugs type of shit lololol
Smoking me kinda slows me down alittle I have ADHD so like I am like some 8 year old kid who snuck into the stash on Halloween I have energy for 1,000 people so when I smoke weed I slow down not by much but alittle lololol

But hey this is the best time to teach me shit about the boat because I be into learning like crazy when I smoke and I have a awesome attention span so you can think you like a God teaching a newbie who who sooooooooooooooooo into what everyone thinks is like "YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE SIZE OF THE FISH I CAUGHT BACK IN THE DAY' and don't tell me you don't have 1 or 2 of those story's everyone is so bored of hearing lololol

Ok I'm out I'm gonna go make a YouTube video lololol
Ya you can see me live if you go to YouTube and type in Magalina Masso or actually everywhere shit my azz is even on Google lololol

See you should be like OMG Magalina Masso wants to go live on a boat ????
Fukkkkkkk yaaaa let me jump on this shit right now !!!!!

You would never have to pay for entertainment if you have a yacht as long as they can handle "ADULT COMEDY".

So who's gonna be the lucky person ????????????????????????????

BTW did I mention I'm a deep tissue masseuse :p

I'm about to buy a 45 year old boat that has blackened tar hull.

Is it likely that there's any damage under the tar?
I heard some EU countries banned tar (Germany) - can I travel through at all?
How to remove and what am I supposed to do with the hull?

Thanks

Who is looking for a gas to sail across the Atlantic in November / December 2017? By: FrankWD Replies: 1 Views: 37

My name is Frank W Doktor, I'm 51 married with 3 grown up children. My nationality Danish and I live just north of Copenhagen, I am a qualified plumber and social worker. For the last 24 years, I have been working with vulnerable children with learning and behavioral difficulties, for Denmark's Social Services.

I have in the recent past owned two 28ft sailing boats. These I sailed around Denmark with the occasional trip to Sweden. I have kept up my sailing experience by sailing my own dinghy and with others on their sailing boats. I have crewed a boat across the Bay of Biscay, this was a big experience for me and I came away from it wiser but also hungry to sail further and longer. I would love to cross the Atlantic.

About me? Well, I have a good humour and a positive outlook on life. I am in good health and I keep myself fit. I have through work learnt to deal with difficult situations and keep a cool head. I respect others and their property. I have a good work ethic and I am not afraid to muck in, I won't finish until the job is done. I am a tidy person and I don't smoke. Being Danish I don't use english everyday, but I am a quick learner.

Sailing wise I have no qualifications to show, but I have years of experience, self taught for the most. Apart from sailing, my other onboard abilities include cooking, cleaning, taking watches (day or night) and anything else that is needed to keep the boat sailing. My love for sailing does not detract from the healthy respect that I have for the sea, I am not a risk taker.

Dates are flexible and I am available for 4 weeks to crew, I can fly to wherever the boat moored. My dream is to sail across the atlantic, but anything else similar would also be considered.

You can find me on facebook and see who I am or you can write to me direct via email:

I look forward to hearing from you

I found a position advertised here on Crewbay, by DREAM SEA. After interviews, contracts, emails with "Capt" I arrive in Sapri, Italy to obtain final documents for Yacht paying over €500 (which was going to be reimbursed) having spent the morning with a fake "ship inspector" I then arrive at Port with no pick up agent or Yacht. Please avoid any contact with the username- dreamsea

If you want to relocate your boat without sailing it or if you want to sail on Greek / Mediterranean / European waters feel free to contact me. I can handle your boat or the whole trip (catamaran or sloop).

I've been sailing since 1996. Sailing is not what I do for living but I love it. I need to gain some miles of experience to get captain licence. I can sail any boat up to 18 meters. I also have SRC and motorboat skipper certificate.

So if you are looking for a skipper to handle your boat/trip feel free to contact me at +48 503 077 839

Hello happy sailors
I started this year with my plan to travel around the world and I want to get into the sailing community and learn to sail and get knowledge about working on boats, so I have a possibility to cross the Atlantic to Latin America in the end of the year. My question is if someone have some tips for me how I can start. Like do you know some good ports where I can go or do you know somebody they are looking for some volunteers for day/week trips??.

My skills are, I am graduated as an mechatronics and I have 5 years work experience in the machine building industries. I was in an exchange and worked one month in a shipyard in Sweden. I have a basic diver licence.
You can find more about me on my profil or contact me.

Tankyou for your help.

Hi my name is Amy and I am the developer of an app called "Sail-Air". Initially it was only meant to help sailors to get from one location to another route point with the actual wind direction and the most optimal cruising way but then I thought it might be good for organizing races with friends or big regattas and the participants can actually see themselves doing their tracks.

If anyone of you is interested in trying it out in exclusive and for free of course, please left me your email and I contact you or write me to mine which is amythesailor@gmail.com

Feedback is always welcome !

Thanks a lot!

Hi,
I will be in Croatia from Aug 15 to Nov 15, 2016. I am looking to volunteer as crew for day sailing or island hopping around Croatia (or even Italy or Greece). (I have my own charter for 2 weeks at end of Sep).

I'm certified as US Sailing Coastal Skipper, and just sailed (as crew) on a 50-foot monohull with 2 friends from New Zealand to Fiji. Also have about 100 day charters under my belt in the challenging San Francisco Bay.

Thanks!

We will sail from Split to Dubrovnik, stopping at islands along the way. Specific route TBD. Need to decide asap. Would be great if you're in California so we can meet beforehand.

Hello friends, I am new to sailing, I can't afford a boat of my own, and just ended a relationship with a sailer. Well, he is gone, but I've caught the sail bug and now all I want to do is sail around the world, wanting to know every bit of sailing there is. Binge watching sailing videos on YouTube etc. I signed up for crew, so hopefully soon I will join someone out there! :)

Hey Captains!
My name is Suzanne. I'm looking for a sailing boat to join for having fun, adventure and experience sailing the Turkey/Greece waters. I'm currently in Rhodos and will be in Bodrum next week. I crossed the Atlantic twice and have a fair bit of coastal sailing experience. Always eager to learn more. I can chip in and/or help out with whatever necessary, teach you freediving, initiate island adventures, talk about lifestyle design and digital nomad life. I hope to have crossed the whole med by the end of September.

I prefer to have minimum 2 other crew on board. I eat vegetarian only, preferably vegan, but no problem if you don't. I also have to do a lot of writing. Since the book is about sailing, no better way to write it on a sailingboat:).

May you be eager to share some adventure time, let me know!
You can learn more about me on TheOceanpreneur.com
I hope to hear from you. Thanks and happy sailing!
Cheers! Suzanne

I would like to hear from anyone who has entered the E.U. through the Canary Islands and has continued to ports in Europe. 1. Is the 90 day window set on a specific stay in a specific country or is 90 days the limit no matter how many countries you go to? 2. If you wish to stay beyond the 90 days how much of a hassle is it to extend your visa?
CaptainHoy
CaptainHoy Posted: 2016-04-17 17:51
Hi,
I have not entered from the Canaries, but I entered through the Azores.
To the best of my knowledge it's 90 days in a 180day period. Since I cleared out of Azores, but then went to France I am not sure if that time under way counted. If I had gone to England and cleared in, the time under way would not have counted toward the 90days.
The Immigration officer in Azores said it is usually pretty easy to get an extension, up to 90 days, but it depends on the officer you talk to. Try to find one in a good mood.
Because of weather I did not make it back to a Schengen country from England about the time my visa expired, so I don't know for sure. From people I have talked to they rarely have problems with the Schengen, but when they do, they are difficult.
Good luck!!

Hello SIB,

My name is Tyler. I am planning on doing a 6 week bareboat charter in the Cyclades and perhaps Saronic Gulf this coming summer, from the end of June to early August along with 4 other friends. We are rather inexperience sailors. 2 of us will have ASA 101, 103, and 104 certification, that will be the brunt of our experience.

I have heard a lot about the Meltemi winds, and I am trying to gauge how serious of a problem this presents to a group of our experience level. Is it possible to keep a close eye to the weather and only sail when the Meltemi is not active? Is it a reasonable task for us to take on? I know that the Ionian is much calmer, but we would really love to sail the Cyclades.

Thank you,

Tyler
Van Alcorn
Van Alcorn Posted: 2016-03-11 13:20
Hi Tyler. I'm Van. I work in the Cyclades Islands in Greece as a professional skipper for G Adventures and Off The Beaten Tack.
The area I work in is smack bang in the middle of the meltemi area.
Depending on the luck of the season the meltemi can become established in mid to late June and blow through to September relentlessly or can not materialise properly at all. It blows from the NNE and brings cloudless skies with winds averaging 35kts. The winds in some areas can get to 50+ kts and be sustained for days.
The worst effects of it are usually local, where the wind is accelerated by katabatic effects or funnelling.
Sea state is often a 2m very short and trashy sea.
Tips.
1. Be aware when sailing on the south side of high islands. This may seem counter intuitive as the south side of high islands would seem to promise shelter but katabatic winds are generated by warm air being forced over the tops of high islands (From the NNE). As the air pressure drops at height the air cools, becomes denser and charges down the leeward side of the island like a freight train.
2. Plan your trip with as few directly northward legs as possible. If you have to make northward try and do so in areas where there is some land shelter such as the Naxos-Paros channel.
3. In meltemi watch for static clouds forming on the tops of high islands when the rest of the sky is blue. This is warm moist air cooling and dumping its moisture. You can be sure that it will be blowing like hell on the leeward side of that island.
4. If the meltemi is blowing there are some areas you can sail in relative comfort. One area I would recommend is the area of the Small Cyclades which are a group of islands just south of Naxos.
5. Some areas to be especially aware of in meltemi.
Tourlos port Mykonos. Mykonos is a very popular stop for people sailing in the area. The approaches to the port can be extremely windy during meltimi. This is often a local condition. Always be prepared for the prevailing wind speed to rise by at least 10kts within 2 to 3 kn of the port in Mykonos. Have all your fenders and warps ready prepared before you enter the port. It will be busy with little space in season and manoeuvring in howling in an enclosed space can be stressful. There are accidents there every day in season.
Don't sail within 5nm of the south side of the island of Amorgos during meltemi. This island generates a truly huge katabatic effect.
The east coast of Serifos has a large acceleration zone. Great if you are traveling south. Pretty wet and trashy and slow going if your going north.
6. Talk to locals and other skippers when you are there. They will always be happy to give you good advice.
Lastly. Don't be discouraged by any of the above. I have sailed all over the world and the Aegean Islands are in my opinion the best sailing area on earth. Plan well, stay safe and enjoy your voyage.
I hope that this has been of help.
Van

The plan is to charter a yacht for 10 days in the first half of April. It is likely that we embark on April 2nd 2016 at noon and disembark on April 12th around midday.

We will sail in the Cyclades departing from Athens. If you want to discover the beautiful Cyclades islands, chill, spend some nice moments on a boat, enjoy quiet beaches that are reachable only by sea, do not hesitate!

The exact route hasn't been decided yet and will vary depending on weather, desires of people. However the general idea would be to leave from Athens and reach the famous Santorini hopping from island to island on the way.

We will charter a 43 foot monohull yacht, in all likelihood a Sun Odyssey.

Everybody is welcome, even the beginners. It will be 2 per cabin and there are 2 spots left.

Excluding flights the price is roughly £450 per person with a deposit of £100 to hold the boat.

Let me know if you are interested.

Like it says, I'm looking to sail around the Aegean & Mediterranean this July. My boyfriend and I will be in Croatia for most of July and are in love with the idea of sailing around and island hopping in the Aegean and Mediterranean.

We will work for a place on your boat! We don't have a lot of sailing experience but we are hard workers, we learn very fast, and we are very fit and capable.

If you're interested in spicing up your summer and adding two intelligent adventurers to your crew then look no further! Check out my profile and message me. My boyfriend's crewbay username is donelaneric.

Hello, we are Russians, going to travel on rented sailing yacht for one week in Croatia from 11 to 18 July. You may join us on share expenses basis

Or you may use the site http://forum.katera.ru to find more info about sailing Russians and sailing in Russia ;) But there everything written in Russian language. There are many Russians sail in Marmaris-Turkey, Montenegro, Croatia, so maybe you shouldn't go to Russia immediately. Also in Russia not so many places to learn sailing - internal lakes and rivers, Baltic sea & Finnish bay and Black and Azov sea. All those seas have more hard character than Mediterranean. Many Russians prefer to learn sailing outside of Russia - mostly in Mediterranean sea.

There is nothing peaceful and romantic than simply sailing with your partner on blue waters as crimsons sun just dips into deep blue sea. Your perfect romantic sailing expedition starts when you will be picked up at the chosen departure point by the private skipper. This is going to be the best opportunity for the romantic sailing in the town and moreover it is very affordable also. The yacht charter is actually an ideal honeymoon vacation, romantic getaway and anniversary experience. Choosing luxury marina berths for honeymoon is definitely most romantic experience for the newly wedded couple, as yacht will take you to the secluded bays and make evening very special by creating wonderful moments together like walking on the deserted beaches holding each other’s hand, dining in the candlelit seaside restaurants and going to new romantic destination almost every day. I am writing to ask if you may have some available work for crew, I am a 46 yr Australian living in Souteast Asia for the past 6 months. I am very keen to learn all aspects of sailing and boat management. I have some previous experience working as crew on the “Naga Pelangi” running day charters out of Langkawi, Malaysia and have previously owned my own 14ft HobiCat. I am currently studying to complete my “International Bareboat Skipper” and will need to attend a practical component in Thailand sometime in the coming months.

I am a good small boat sailor (Hobicat) and have a good understanding of navigation, rules of the road and rigging. But my true strengths lie in my ability to get along with anyone, being a fast learner, being flexible and adaptable to any situation and staying calm under pressure. These strengths served me well when mountaineering in New Zealand, where there are numerous similarities to sailing (bunking with people in confined spaces, ropework, navigation, weather forecasting and trip planning)

I am keen to work and learn on any size or type of yacht and willing to travel anywhere to do it, I can be flexible about working arrangements and willing to negotiate a mutual agreement.

In addition I have PADI Open Water, play guitar (badly) and love to fish.

Thank you for reading this far, I do hope we can sail together one day. I look forward to your reply.

Our skipper has left and none of us have a lisence to sail, although we all have some experience. We are looking for someone to sail with us, if it is for a day or a week, anything would be great.

If anybody is sailing from a British or Mediterranean port to the Caribbean in the next couple of months, I am looking for a passage across.

I am 24 years old and very fit; I crewed a (40") delivery from the BVIs to St. Martin last Autumn and worked for several months doing refits/repairs on yachts and cruisers in St. Maarten/Martin, so I know how to do fibreglass repairs, painting and prep, skin-fittings, mast-work etc. I have a reasonable grounding sailing dinghies and small boats, plus limited experience on yachts.

I know that I have slightly missed the boat timing-wise, but if for whatever reason a skipper is also looking to cross a bit later in the season than usual, I would be really grateful for the opportunity to join your boat - I want to build up my sea-miles and experience, and I also need to get back to St. Martin, where I was living for half of last year. However, a passage to anywhere in the Caribbean would be fine.

Thanks

Hey everyone,
I'm an austrian girl searching for a boat - preferably sailing boat - to join this summer! I'd like to improve my sailing skills and get to know new people and places, exchange about ideas and most of all spend a good time. Therefore I'm open for every destination in and around lovely europe.
I guess I'm very easy going and I get along with everybody as long as people are respectful and open-minded. I speak german as native language, but I'm also able to communicate in french or english.

Looking forward to joining you,

For further information about me or my travel plans please reach out to me at gavindirusso@gmail.com if that is easier than this forum.

Are you "an adventurer with some sailing experience and a track record in difficult/dangerous terrain. This description would of course include any experienced sailor who has logged significant ocean miles."

Join any of the nine legs of the Ocean Sailing Club's "Ends of the Earth" Challenge. We are attempting to be the first yacht to sail in consecutive summers (of the same year!) between the world's two most extreme towns - from Ushuaia, behind Cape Horn, to Hammerfest some 400 miles into the Arctic Circle above Norway.

It's not all hard work. Yes, we will be sailing round Cape Horn and on to South Georgia for the centenary of Shackleton's Antarctic Expedition. But there will also be time to visit Carnival in Rio, cruise the Caribbean and log a North Atlantic Crossing. But if you do want something a bit more exciting, what about the final "Norse Saga" leg from Dublin to the Hebrides, Faroe Islands, and then on to the Norwegian fjords of Tromso and Hammerfest, in the "Land of the Midnight Sun

Hello all,

I am looking at going to work on chartered yachts in the new year and need as much information as possible. I have lots of questions if anyone can help.

Where is the best place to move to to try and get work?
Should I pre book into a hotel or see how I go and how long for ?
Do I pack a suitcase when I go or just take a bag ?
Are there any agencies that can help me secure a job before I go abroad?
How long will is it likely to be until I find a job?
How do I go about handing out my CV's?
Is there man bars or jobs to get broad in the mean time to keep money coming in ?
How much money am I likely to need to save to start off for flights and accommodation ?
What's the difference between chartered and private yachts?
Do I need travel insurance when on the yachts?
What happens if I need a doctor out there?
Will I have to pay for anything on the yacht or is it all included?

I know theres a lot there but if anyone can help with any info that would be great !

Thanks

Can anyone recommend the best and cheapest accomodation for me to stay at, in one of the above locations. I understand some crew houses can be real dives but would happily stay with a nice group of people in a shared house for the rest of the summer. Really open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance
