Margo Riley: I'm a sourdough baker and chef from england, who grew up in the highlands of north east Scotland I dream is to sail away from this island on my own boat one day and meet and eat with new people in ports all over the world. Ideally with a bakers oven in tow.
Im new to sailing, i have done a couple yacht deliveries and crossed the bay of biscay this summer, i enjoy cooking onboard, i dont share a love of tinned food so im happy to help out preparing food. Im curious about most things, and like talking with people finding out about them.
I have had a few different jobs and projects in life so far, im good at starting, slack at managing and struggle to finish with any long term commitments, Sailing it seems suits me, as i am always starting on a new part of the journey.
When sailing 'I want to find the land that time forgot' escaping the rat race, im living in that moment, taking everyday slowly, relaxing, time is not important anymore.
When i accept an invitation to crew on someones yacht, im there to help and be good company for however long the journey is, its like accepting a lift from a stranger on a road to get somewhere, you want to be friendly, share stories and make the journey as comfortable as possible. Im not making a life commitment and im not checking a profile for a perfect fit, im just living my life trying to get to different places, meet new people and learn new things along the way.

nixon56: Hi,
I recently spent 6 weeks sailing on a 54ft steel boat named s/v fairwinds rom cuba to jamaica and on to panama. You can find captain fredrik molin for a reference on crewbay or facebook under fairwinds although the boat is on a slip in colombia.I aslso own a 5.5m aluminium fishing boat in Tasmania australia where i use it recreationally for fishing, diving, spearfishing and freediving. My brother recently bought a 53 ft yacht and i have been on it a few times but would like to gain experience so when i go home(whenever that is) we can take the yacht on some wild adventures on the stunning but wild and windy west coast of tasmania. I enjoy the ocean a lot and also enjoy cooking and dont mind hard work as i have been an electrician and a farmer. I am a social person but can also chill and read a book.I have no plans to go home and would consider europe and mediteranean .Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards Alex

Sailor and a passionate cook

Position (1st): Chef
Position (2nd): Captain/skipper
Age: 36
Nationality: Slovenian
Location: Slovenia
Last logged in: 2 hours ago

boRoot: Photographer and Filmmaker by education, vegan chef for last few years with restaurant experience. I have a skipper license for boats under 24m.

Sailing my whole life on our family 34 Grand Solei, friends Elan 31, few races on JustinTen (10 OD boats built for the "Grand Prix of Slovenia" Grade 1 Match Race Championships), and many other regattas, but only in Adriatic and a small portion of Mediterranean.
I've been also taking care of our Grand Solei 34 and 7m power boat for my whole life, so sanding, polishing gelcoat, painting, and all other boat jobs are in my blood. I currently own and sail with 420 International and 470 Class, together with my girlfriend.

I enjoy climbing, diving, slackline walking, skiing and playing musical instruments. I am a Google certified expert for AdWords and search. I know how to make webpages. I've owned an online advertising agency firm for few years, but now I am searching for more relaxed kind of life.

In the last 5-7 years, I found my passion in cooking, especially vegan, but also in all other cuisines. I am looking to expand my sailing and cooking experience, see the world, and meet new people on the way.

Seeking sailing opportunities

Position (1st): Deckhand
Position (2nd): Chef
Age: 40
Nationality: American
Location: France
Last logged in: 2 hours ago

Chef4crew: Hello I'm a 40 yr old American male looking for opportunities to sail anywhere the wind takes us. Born in Indonesia and raised in Alaska I have grown up in small communities and have become accustomed to hard work and being a team player. I worked as a craftsman building houses for 20 years and then went and earned a bachelor's degree in Business management in 2016. I have raised a handsome, capable, young man who turned 18 years old recently got a job and is on his own doing well. Consequently this has left me with the opportunity to go travel. I have spent a lot of time on the water as a lobsterman in New Hampshire US and also worked as a commercial fisherman doing long line and sport charters. I don't get seasick and have a solid set of sea legs.
I am an excellent cook, great fisherman, good conversationalist, astute, excellent physical shape having climbed several mountains and glaciers in Alaska this past summer. I believe I would be a great asset to any group planning to sail and needs a shipmate.
I want to see the world. Take me sailing.
